|
It was reported that the patient is seeing eri for the left implantable neurostimulator (ins) on the programmer last night and head shaking last night.Patient states just being implanted (b)(6) 2022.Patient states not having checked the ins since implant because she thought she was good for at least 2- 3 years but then had some health issues and her husband suggested she check.Patient states not having high settings.Patient reports tremors coming back but nothing like before.Patient service specialist redirected to healthcare provider.

Additional information received from the consumer reported the only thing they knew was their battery died in about 10 months and didn¿t resolve after they tried to reset it.The patient was scheduled for battery replacement on (b)(6) 2023.

Additional information received from the consumer reported they were scheduled for a replacement surgery for friday, but the surgery was cancelled due to a rep not being available.The replacement surgery is now on dec 4th.The consumer wanted to know why they are not considered a high priority if they have a defective battery.They felt like the left ins was defective due to the longevity of the ins., and the hcp found it odd that the left ins is in eri already even though it has lower settings than the right ins.The consumer also reported that they are unable to turn their ins off at night due to the handset not holding a charge.

Additional information received from the consumer reported they received a new communicator yesterday.The agent asked why the communicator was replaced, and the patient said it was because it was not holding a charge.Agent noticed in the previous follow up note that the patient reported that the handset was not holding a charge, but the patient said they mixed up their terminology and they actually meant that the communicator was not holding a charge.The patient stated that the new communicator was not connecting to the handset and was not finding the implant.The agent discovered that healthcare it ordered the patient a replacement communicator through repair.However, the patient received a tm91 communicator instead of a tm90 communicator.The agent re-opened the case and send an email to repair to request a tm90 communicator.

Additional information received from the manufacturer¿s representative (rep) reported there were some impedance issues, and the patient¿s tremor wasn¿t being well controlled.The patient received the replacement communicator, but it had to be repaired with the handset every time they used the dbs therapy app.A request was made to replace the handset and communicator.
