The manufacturer received information alleging a malfunction with dreamstation auto bipap.The patient reports the device is not blowing any air and this has been going on for a month.Troubleshooting was attempted.The patient further reports the device stops running in the middle of the night.The device will turn back on but they don't know why it stops blowing air.There are no error messages seen and troubleshooting was done.The patient reports the device is displaying the correct bipap temperature 15/8 and there are not rips or tears in the seal.The patient states that they have not been using the prescribed bipap pressure.They used it set on cpap mode because the device does not work in bipap mode.The patient further reports that they visited the dme last thursday and they already checked the device.Everything was set up to the correct settings, changed the auto off feature to off, but still having same issue and was advised that the machine is defective.There is no allegation of serious or permanent harm or injury.No medical intervention was required by the patient.The manufacturer's investigation is ongoing.A follow-up report will be submitted when the manufacturer's investigation is complete.
