A field service engineer (fse) conducted a site visit and was able to confirm the problem by review of the error log.The fse was unable to reproduce the reported problem due to the reported issue being intermittent. The fse ordered a new test cup pick up assembly kit.The fse returned to the customer site at a later date and installed the new test cup pick up assembly kit and performed all necessary alignments. The fse validated the analyzer by running quality control (qc) with results within acceptable range and instructed the customer to run the instrument to verify operation. The aia-900 analyzer is functioning as expected. No further action required by field service.A 13-month complaint history review and service history review through aware date of event for similar complaints was performed for serial number (b)(6).There were no other similar complaints found during the searched period. The aia-900 operator's manual under section 12 flags and error messages states the following: [2161] c.Transfer cup pickup failure cause: the cup sensor s063 failed to detect the cup after the cup was grasped.Action: please contact the tosoh local representatives.Check s063, the cup pickup position, and the cup pickup operation. The most probable cause was due to failure of the test cup pick up assembly.
