Event Description
The caller reported that he had an occlusion within their accu-chek insight flex infusion set, which resulted in severe diabetic ketoacidosis.On 20-aug-2023 the patient was brought to the hospital by paramedics.In the hospital, the patient had a blood glucose level of 50 mmol/l and had an infection with a fever.The patient was treated with insulin via a perfusor.The patient was discharged from the hospital on (b)(6) 2023 and medical staff recommended that in future, the cannula be changed every day and the tube every other day.
