The manufacturer received information regarding a dreamstation 2 cpap device.The patient states their device was broken and smelled a burning odor.The patient brought their device to their dme, and the dme mentioned their device was burned out.When the patient tried troubleshooting their device that night, they noticed there was "smoke coming from [their] device." there was no allegation of serious or permanent harm or injury.No medical intervention was required for the patient.The manufacturer's investigation is ongoing.A follow-up report will be submitted when the manufacturer's investigation is complete.
