Event Description
|
It was reported to boston scientific that an uphold vaginal support system was used during a procedure performed on (b)(6) 2010.It was reported that there was a vaginal erosion through the vaginal synthetic mesh a few months after the uphold was implanted.The symptoms did not bother the patient at the time.On (b)(6) 2023, the patient underwent a new prolapse surgery.During the procedure, the eroded mesh was placed surgically below the mucosa.As a result of the event, there was a medical and/or surgical treatment.Boston scientific has been unable to obtain additional information to date, despite good faith efforts.
