Information was received from a patient (pt) who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins). The reason for call was patient stated they were in pain and their ins battery wasn't depleting.Patient said the issue began a couple days ago, after they 'had it pumped up'.Patient service specialist had pt turn on controller and saw displayed 'stimulation is off'; agent explained if the battery gets down too low the stimulation can turn off, so they would have to turn it back on manually after charging.Pt said they usually don't let ins get that low.Patient was in group b-1 at the time of the call and said they didn't feel any tingling or anything.Agent reviewed how to turn stim up and pt said they could feel the stim.Pt will monitor the issue.Hcp info provided.
