Event Description
According to the reporter, during a laparoscopic radical resection procedure of esophageal cancer, while making tubular stomach, the jaws were unable to be opened to remove from tissue.To remove the instrument from tissue, it was pried off using additional tool.The stapler and reload were replaced to complete the case.There was no patient injury.
