Event Description
It was reported that shaft break occurred.The 90% stenosed target lesion was located in a moderately tortuous and moderately calcified vessel.During insertion of a 2.25 x 24 synergy ii drug-eluting stent, the device broke mid shaft leaving part of the catheter inside the patient.The fractured device was removed manually and the procedure was completed via an alternative method.The patient status was stable.
