Event Description
It was reported that after opening a size 8 standard actis stem, the surgeon noticed the inner packaging surroundings the stem was not vacuum sealed.The stem was able to freely move around inside the plastic packaging that is usually sealed air tight, the surgeon had take a video.The plastic wrapping was also very easy to open, noticeably easier than when it is properly vacuum sealed.The surgeon was unsure about if the stem should be implanted in the patient due to oxidation/sterility concerns so he opted to not use said stem and open up a new one.
