An alarm issue was reported with the abbott diabetes care (adc) device.A customer experienced a signal loss and was unable to obtain readings and receive glucose alarms.As a result, the customer was not alerted of changes in glucose level and experienced nausea, 'strange feeling', a loss of consciousness, and a seizure.The customer required third-party treatment of "25mg of glucogel, dioralyte, and prevnisolone" from a non-healthcare professional (non-hcp).There was no report of death or permanent impairment associated with this event.
