|
According to the reporter, during a surgery, the jaws won't open after sealing.The jaws were removed manually and replaced with a new device, and the surgery was completed.There was no patient injury.

Event Description
|
According to the reporter, about two hours on a laparoscopic partial renal resection, the jaws won't open after renal tissue sealing.The handpiece was cleaned whenever tissue adhesion was noticeable.Knife blade was not extended nor protruded beyond the edge of the jaws.The jaws were removed manually and replaced with a new device, and the surgery was completed.There was no patient injury.
