Event Description
|
It was reported that the battery of this cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) was suspected to be depleting prematurely and the left ventricular (lv) lead exhibited low out-of-range pace impedance measurements less than 200 ohms and noise.A request was made to have data from this device analyzed.Data analysis confirmed the battery power consumption was high and irregular, consistent with a latent pace block anomaly in the analog integrated circuit that can impact lead integrity.Additional information received indicated that this crt-d was explanted and replaced, and the lv was capped and replaced with the secondary previously implanted lv lead.No additional adverse patient effects were reported.
