Zimmer biomet complaint (b)(4).G2: foreign - canada.Customer has indicated that the product is in process of being returned to zimmer biomet for investigation.Once the investigation has been completed, a follow-up mdr will be submitted.

Event Description
|
It was reported that the custom tmj did not fit because the teeth were not in occlusion on the model.A stock fossa and mandible were used in attempt to make it fit.However, these also did not work and surgeon had re-opened the patient and changed the other stock implants.The two final implants matched the anatomy of the patient.

|
It was further reported that the issue was identified during the same procedure and the patient was not re-opened.There was a three-hour delay in surgery due to the need to change implants multiple times.
