Event Description

Additional information received indicated the patient's "unresponsive episode" and bradycardia are likely due to a product performance issue.Medics reported patient heart rate the twenties while on the way to the emergency room and notes from once the patient was in the emergency room also state heart rate in the twenties. However, device histogram data check did show some ventricular rates below the lower rate setting of 60 beats per minute (bpm), but only a small bucket¿s worth and only down to 50-60 bpm range.Atrial histogram did show more lower rates versus ventricular histogram.Recommended replacement time (rrt) had been reached in the prior month.Notes from subsequent admission the physician questioned earlier cause of initial syncope, stating this was ¿a difficult case that had extensive work-up without obvious etiology. The bradycardia issue was resolved and subsequent remote device check, post generator change out, showed proper function of device.
