Event Description
It was reported that balloon rupture occurred.The 90% stenosed target lesion was located in a shunt in a moderately tortuous and severely calcified vessel.A 5.0mmx40mmx80cm (4f) sterling balloon catheter was advanced for dilatation.However, during first inflation at 12 atmospheres for 15 seconds, the balloon ruptured.The device was removed using normal method without issue and the procedure was completed with another of the same device.There were no complications reported and patient was in good condition post procedure.
