Event Description
It was reported that a large amount of lint was inside the sterile packaging of a vented high-volume inlet.This was observed before use in a clean room.There was no patient involvement.No additional information is available.
 
Manufacturer Narrative
H11: the actual device and photographs of the sample were received for evaluation.A visual inspection of the photo samples was performed, and a small particle in the packaging of the product was observed.A visual inspection along with magnification was performed on the actual device, and a foreign particle matter was observed inside the packaging.The particulate origin appeared to be that of or similar to the paper packaging material and lint fiber contamination.The reported condition was verified.The likely cause of the particulate matter was due to inherent contamination during the manufacturing packaging process.A batch review was conducted and there were no deviations found related to this reported condition during the manufacture of this lot.Should additional relevant information become available, a supplemental report will be submitted.
