It was reported that the patient with this cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) exhibited undersensing.Upon review of the presenting, technical services (ts) stated that it looked like atrial undersensing as the atrial pace was blanking the right ventricular sensing, causing the device to pace. The lower rate limit was at 90, however the pacing was at 100 bpm.It was noted that the patient's intrinsic rhythm was coming through, and the boston scientific representative turned off atrial discriminators. This device remains in service. No adverse patient effects were reported.
