It was reported that approximately one week post implant the patient presented to the emergency department experiencing shortness of breath, palpitations, and a fever.The patient reported soreness of device site.The physician suspected possible infection from implant of the cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) system.The crt-d system remains in use. no further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
