Event Description
It was reported from japan that during an unspecified surgical procedure, it was observed that the battery oscillator device suddenly stopped working while in use.It did not move at all even when the trigger was pulled and the sliding was slightly bad.After cleaning, the sales representative checked the operation and found that it worked fine, although the trigger did not slide smoothly.The battery was replaced and it now stopped working.Subsequently, after replacing the battery several times and checking the operation it was confirmed that the device worked sometimes and sometimes did not even with the same battery.There was less than a thirty minute delay to the surgical procedure.There was patient involvement.There were no injuries, medical intervention or prolonged hospitalization.All available information has been disclosed.If additional information should become available, a supplemental medwatch will be submitted accordingly.
