Event Description
It was reported that the pacemaker has depleted from 1.5 years and currently has 3 months battery life remaining.A request was made to have data from this device analyzed.Data analysis confirmed that the power consumption was increasing in a gradual fashion which appeared consistent with capacitor degradation due to hydrogen gas content in the sealed device atmosphere.As of this time, the device remains in service.No adverse patient effects were reported.
