Event Description
The handheld and flashcard were returned for analysis.Analysis of the handheld was completed on (b)(4) 2014.No anomalies associated with the handheld performance were noted during testing using the ac adapter or the main battery with a full charge.The handheld performed according to functional specifications.Analysis of the flashcard was completed on (b)(4) 2014.The flashcard and software performed according to specifications.No anomalies associated with flashcard software or databases were identified during the flashcard analysis.The flashcard and software performed according to functional specifications.
 
Event Description
It was reported that the epileptologist was having intermittent communication issues with his handheld device.The handheld device was freezing during interrogation.It appeared that data was being transferred from the wand but the status bar did not move on the handheld device.The wand battery was changed, soft and hard resets were performed, and the flashcard was reseated; however, the issues were not resolved.Emi is not believed to be a factor.Attempts for product return have been unsuccessful.
 
Manufacturer Narrative
Device manufacturing records were reviewed.Review of manufacturing records confirmed that the handheld device passed all functional tests prior to distribution.
