|
Medtronic received information that during implant of this bioprosthesis, the valve was partially sutured into place before the physician determined that it was anatomically not a good fit for the patient.The valve was explanted and discarded by the physician.There were no performance allegations against this valve.Another medtronic bioprosthetic valve was successfully implanted.Five days post implant the patient passed away due to multi-organ failure.The physician did note that the death was not related to any of the devices,their function, or the replacement procedure.
