It was reported the patient lost motor and sensory function from the arms down following her permanent implant procedure.It was also reported that during the procedure the lead would not go past c3.Additionally, it was reported that during the procedure the anesthesiologist noted the patient's breathing became more rapid.The system was explanted and as of (b)(6) 2015 the patient had a some leg sensation and was being transferred to a rehabilitation facility.An mri showed no anomalies.The physician determined the patient had a cord stroke during the permanent implant procedure.As of (b)(6) 2015, the patient remains in rehabilitation and has regained some sensory feeling but no motor function.
