The device was returned to zoll medical corporation for evaluation.The malfunction was duplicated and attributed to an open lead on the limb lead ecg cable.Review of the clinical file did show multiple "ecg faults", indicating loss of an ecg signal.This evidence is consistent with the customers complaint of unable to pace.The limb lead ecg cable was replaced to resolve the reported malfunction.The device passed final testing, was recertified and returned to the customer.Analysis of reports of this type has not identified an increase in trend.
