The customer reported a burning smell coming from the rear of the ventilator due to a burnt component.The customer reported the patient was removed from the ventilator and placed on a different ventilator.The customer reported patient involvement with no harm to the patient.

Date of event: (b)(6) 2015.Date rcvd by mfr: 08/06/2016.Conclusion / root cause: the blower motor controller pcba was tested and no failures were identified.No fault was found on this returned blower motor controller pcba.This report is being submitted as part of the remediation for capa (b)(4).
