Event Description
Information was received from a health care provider (hcp) via a manufacturer representative (rep) regarding a patient who was implanted with a neurostimulator for dystonia and movement disorders.It was reported that the patient experienced shocking sensations at the airport when going through security screeners and sometimes passes out; it is unknown when the issue began occurring.It was noted that the patient's settings were strong due to his dystonia.The manufacturer representative (rep) confirmed that following the incident, the battery was working fine and does not reset.It was also stated that an impedance test was performed and resulted in impedance values within normal limits; the shocking sensations could not be duplicated.
