Event Description
Information was received from a health care professional via a company representative (rep) regarding a patient who was receiving morphine (unknown dose and concentration) via an implantable pump for malignant pain. The patient reported experiencing sudden return of pain beginning the last few days prior to this report date.On this report date, a telemetry problem with the clinician programmer (8840s) was reported, they had tried two different 8840s removed electromagnetic interference and used ultrasound to image the port, the health care professional was sure that the pump was not flipped based on the ultrasound. There were no sources of electromagnetic interference present. It was noted that moving away/eliminating sources of electromagnetic interference did not resolve the issue, it was noted that they had not tried changing rooms yet so it was recommended that they change environments and call back if this did not resolve the issue.
