Event Description
|
The right great saphenous vein(gsv) and left short saphenous vein(ssv) were treated using the venaseal device.Three days later, the patient presented with a blister in the left gsv and was put on antibiotics which did not stop the infection.The blister was oozing with visible pus.The patient was seen by an infectious disease doctor approximately 1 month later.One week after this visit to the infectious disease doctor, the patient presented again and the infection had deteriorated.Physician requested a phone with a member of the clinical team.The medtronic clinical team member called the physician.The medtronic clinician outlined possible treatment options to the physician for the patient involved in this case and left contact details with the physician.
