Sonogram analysis: no component of the venaseal closure system was returned for evaluation.A series of eleven sonographic images was provided for evaluation.In one of the images provided, an extension into the popliteal vein is visible.A good faith effort will be made to obtain the applicable information relevant to the report.If information is provided in the future, a supplemental report will be issued.

Event Description
|
It was reported that during treatment of the short saphenous vein (ssv) using the venaseal device, the popliteal vein was occluded by approximately 10%.No intervention was reported to have been carried out.Follow-up ultrasound observation has been conducted along with precautionary anti-coagulative medication prescribed.
