Event Description
Information was received from a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for non-malignant pain.The patient reported that the ins was not helping back pain.The patient reported that the ins never helped with leg pain.The patient reported that she had an mri a couple weeks prior to the report and was informed she had a slipped disc.The patient also reported that she had an mri the year prior to the report and was told this one did not show much change.The patient reported that ¿so i must have had the slipped disc last year.¿ the patient reported that she knew the stimulator was not going to work for her and she met with a manufacturer¿s representative (rep) in 2016 to have an adjustment but it didn¿t help.The patient reported that she wanted the implant removed.No further complications anticipated.
 
Event Description
Additional information was received from a consumer.It was reported that the patient took no steps to resolve the stimulator never helping.The patient had the stimulator removed on (b)(6) 2017.No further complications were reported or anticipated.
