Event Description
|
It was reported that while attempting to place the left ventricular (lv) lead, the coronary sinus was perforated.The patient rapidly developed hemodynamic compromise due suspected tamponade.Emergent pericardiocentesis was performed, however the patient developed cardiac arrest and experienced ongoing bleeding from the perforation, and later died after resuscitation attempts.
