Per paper by gofton, et al., "a single-center experience with a titanium modular neck total hip arthroplasty." in journal of arthroplasty, 2017: allegedly, the female patient was revised for recurrent dislocation, 7.6 days post-operatively.The patient was (b)(6) years old at initial surgery, with degenerative ostei-arthritis and a bmi of (b)(6).Patient was implanted with a short ar/vv ti modular neck, a 32mm femoral head, and a profemur® tl modular stem.The modular neck, femoral head and acetabular liner were revised; however, the femoral stem was retained.The patient had complications of alcohol abuse, korsakoff syndrome, and previous multifocal cerebellar infarcts that affected her balance and an abductor muscle deficiency at the time of the revision.
