Event Description
|
It was reported that the screw used to fix the shell would not insert.The surgery was finished with a backup screw.Attempts have been made and additional information on the reported event is unavailable.

|
Complaint sample was evaluated and the reported event was confirmed.Visual inspection of the screw found minimal damage, scratches were identified on the taper of the head.No damage was observed to the head or threads.Dimensional analysis was performed against the print specifications.The head diameter, major thread diameter, and overall length of the screw were found to be within tolerance.Device history record was reviewed and no discrepancies were found.Review of the complaint history determined that no further action is required as no trends were identified.Root cause was unable to be determined.If any further information is found which would change or alter any conclusions or information, a supplemental will be filed accordingly.Zimmer biomet will continue to monitor for trends.
