The literature article titled, asymptomatic late embolization of amplatzer septal occluder device (indian heart j.2017 may - jun;69(3):338-340), reported a case of silent embolization of a 30 mm amplatzer septal occluder (aso) to the right ventricle.The embolization was detected seven months post implant during a pre-anaesthetic evaluation and echocardiography for a non-cardiac surgery.The patient denied having any symptoms.The aso was surgically removed and the defect was closed surgically.The time of the embolization could not be ascertained as the patient denied having any symptoms after the device closure.The patient also did not have any regular follow up after two weeks of the device closure.Patient weight is not available.
