Event Description
It was reported that the physician used an everflex entrust for treatment of an 100mm lesion in the superficial femoral artery (sfa).The vessel diameter was reported to be 6mm.The device was prepped as per ifu without issue.No embolic protection was used.It was reported the stent was successfully deployed.There was no resistance encountered when advancing the device and no excessive force was used.During removal, it was reported that the handle of the stent delivery system fractured and the delivery system remained in the patient.There was no component embolization.The detached portion was removed through the sheath.The delivery system was reported to be deformed.No patient complications or symptoms were reported.
