Event Description
|
A surgeon reported that before a surgical procedure the fan noise became loud and the system froze.The staff was unable to turn the system off by holding the power button down so the main power switch was turned off and then restarted.The surgery was able to be initiated and completed.

The customer reported that the system froze while waiting for priming.The fans started operating loudly as well.The system was power cycled and the surgery was completed.No patient harm was noted.A service request (sr) was opened (b)(6) 2018.Per the sr, the customer cancelled the service due to the event not being able to be replicated.The system was manufactured on (b)(6) 2014.Based on qa assessment, the product met specifications at the time of release.The root cause cannot be determined conclusively.(b)(4).
