On 2018-03-05 information was received from a manufacturer's representative regarding a patient who was implanted with a neurostimulator for spinal cord stimulation. It was reported that a lead was left inside the patient's body and inactivated.Per the representative, the lead was not taken out.It was left inside the patient's body and not attached to the neurostimulator. It was reported that it was not capped and not possible for future use because it was out of the epidural space. On 2018-may-08 additional information was received from the rep.It was reported that the lead was left per hcp.He left it behind due to more risk to the patient. No impact to the patient except she will not be able to have a full body mri.It was a lead migration. No further complications were reported/anticipated.
