Boston scientific received information that this cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) exhibited high out of range pace impedances on the right atrial (ra) lead. The impedances had spiked to values greater than 3000 ohms twice. In addition, there were numerous atrial tachy response episodes stored due to respiratory rate trend (rrt) oversensing. At this time, the system has been reprogrammed and rrt was programmed off.The patient was seen and during isometrics, the noise was reproduced. The patient will continue to be monitored and the products remain in service. The lead is a competitor's product. No adverse patient effects were reported.
