Information was received from a consumer regarding a patient who was implanted with an implantable neurostimulator (ins) for spinal pain.It was reported that since implant, the adaptive stimulation (as) settings were taking too long to switch from reclining to the standing setting and from the standing to the walking setting. Also since implant, the stimulation would decrease by itself, even when the as was off.No symptoms were reported. It was reviewed that the as setting from lying to upright can be adjusted but the standing to walking cannot be adjusted, and is typically set to 2 minutes. It was reviewed that to set the walking setting the patient needs to be walking for at least a few minutes for the device to remember the setting. It was noted the patient will be contacting their doctor and/or the manufacturer representative (rep) to get the as settings adjusted. No further complications were reported or anticipated.[omitted information pertaining to the id card having the wrong dob - see pe# (b)(4)].
