Event Description
Boston scientific received information that this left ventricular (lv) lead was part of a system revision due to infection and sepsis.The patient had (b)(6) and the transesophageal echocardiogram also showed endocarditis.Moreover, it was noted that the lv lead did not pull out with traction so the lead was prepped for extraction.The patient was also given antibiotics.The lv lead was explanted successfully.No additional adverse patient effects were reported.
