It was reported that during the implant procedure, the left ventricular (lv) lead lumen became occluded.The lv lead was successfully placed in the posterior vein.The testing was marginal, so the physician decided to reposition the lead.During lead repositioning, the competitor wire became difficult to maneuver.The lead was removed from the body and the lead was flushed.There appeared to be some blood within the lead body.A new wire was attempted to be back loaded, but was unsuccessful.A new lead was successfully placed.No patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
