Manufacturer Narrative
|
The device was not returned to zoll medical corporation for evaluation. The customer was contacted and indicated that the device was placed back into service.During the investigation, it was determined that a bedside monitor was in use to view the ecg of the patient.Which means that the device being used to pace was not connected via ecg leads to the patient at the time of the event. The device involved would require the ecg leads to be attached from the patient to the device in order to pace the patient. This report has been attributed to improper use of the device by the end user.Analysis of reports of this type has not identified an increase in trend.
