Event Description
It was reported that shaft break occurred.A carotid wallstent was selected for use for a stenting procedure in the carotid artery.The device was advanced through the patient's anatomy, however, the physician was unable to deploy the stent.It was then observed that the shaft of the delivery system was broken.The physician removed the device and the procedure was completed with another carotid wallstent.No patient complications were reported and the patient's status was stable.
