It was reported that the patient received inappropriate shock from the implantable cardioverter defibrillator.Just prior to the shock, patient felt lightheaded with retrosternal chest pressure.The shock put her back into sinus rhythm.The cardiologist stated that though the abnormal rhythm prior to her shock was electronically interpreted as ventricular tachycardia, it really was at with some atrioventricular nodal reentry tachycardia and atrial fibrillation.No intervention was performed for inappropriate shock.The patient had no further issues from the shock.The patient went to the ed on (b)(6) 2019 for other issues, and the device check done on (b)(6) 2019 showed that no further episodes of atrial arrhythmias since the (b)(6) 2019 incident.The patient was stable.
