It was reported that the patient collapsed in the hospital due a possible increase in the capture threshold of the left ventricular (lv) lead. The cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) was providing lv-only pacing - as programmed, the crt-d had automatically changed from bi-ventricular pacing to lv-only pacing - however, the lv capture threshold may have increased, compromising capture. The lead was reprogrammed and remains in use.No further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
