Event Description
The first malem alarm overheated when i inserted batteries.Took about 10 mins to go from room temperature to extremely hot.I contacted the company and they promptly replaced it for me.This is the second alarm that is doing fine exact same thing.I insert batteries and the alarm starts to vibrate a little bit.Not normal vibration, but a long pause and vibrate. Then the alarm will get warmer and warmer until it is very hot.The defect is not in the batteries as i have tried many different brands. It is clearly in the alarm itself.I don't know how much hotter the alarm will get as it is already very hot.Any more warmer and it will just burn my son's skin. Not safe to be used at night.Fda safety report id# (b)(4).
