Event Description
It was reported that during the implant procedure, the patient experienced pericardia effusion caused by perforation of the left ventricular (lv) lead.It was noted that the pericardial effusion was in accordance with symptoms of tamponade, which was hypotension and pain.It was noted that the effusion was on the posterior wall and was one centimeter in length.Medication was administered to treat the effusion and the lead remains in use.No further patient complications have been reported as a result of this event.
