It was reported that this patient had cardiac arrest and received cardiopulmonary resuscitation (cpr).The patient was implanted with a left ventricular assist device (lvad) following the arrest.A review of the device data identified an out of range shocking impedance measurement greater than 200 ohms occurred one day after the lvad procedure.Additionally, pacing impedance measurements on the right ventricular (rv) channel have been trending lower since the procedure and there is recent stored episodes of noise on the shock channel.A boston scientific technical services consultant discussed the clinical observations with the caller who stated the root cause of the clinical observations has not been determined.No adverse patient effects were reported.
