On (b)(6) 2020 a patient in switzerland underwent a procedure for the re-placement of percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (peg) tube with a new stoma being created.On 22 feb 2020 it was reported that the patient had pain at the new stoma, abdominal pain (treated with dafalgan) and a tension feeling in the stomach.A home visit was conducted with a bandage change at the new stoma which was inflamed, reddened, pus-covered wound margin and a very large (2 hand width circular) reddened, overheated, skin with clear defensive tension.Per patient's wife, he also had a fever the evening before.The patient went to the emergency room where he was prescribed oral antibiotic bactrim and will be seen daily at the hospital.
